I have thick, naturally wavy hair, and wooden bristle brushes are the only brushes I use. The wooden bristles don’t add to the static that my hair accumulates in the wintertime, unlike nylon bristles. It took me a few tries to get the right size brush, but now that I did, what a difference it makes. (My hair looks like I just left a salon every time I brush it.) I give this brush four stars out of five because cleaning the brush is very difficult. Soaking it causes the wood to mold. I’ve tried cleaning the bristles individually with a little bit of cotton and alcohol, but that causes surrounding bristles to bend out of the way. Repeated cleaning in this way causes the bristles to break off. I still haven’t figured out a good way to clean the bristles.
